“This is what you shall do for them to consecrate them to serve me as priests: take one young bull and two rams without blemish, unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil. You shall make them of fine wheat flour. You shall put them in one basket and present them in the basket, along with the bull and the two rams. You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water. You shall take the garments and clothe Aaron in the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breastpiece, and fasten the woven band of the ephod around him.You shall put the turban on his head and place the holy diadem on the turban. You shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him.You shall bring his sons near and clothe them in tunics. You shall fasten sashes around Aaron and his sons and tie caps on them. The priesthood shall be theirs by a perpetual statute. Thus you shall ordain Aaron and his sons. You shall bring the bull before the Tent of Meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull. You shall slaughter the bull before the LORD at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. You shall take some of the bull’s blood and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour out all the rest of the blood at the base of the altar. You shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys, and the fat on them, and turn them into smoke on the altar. But the flesh of the bull, its hide, and its dung you shall burn with fire outside the camp. It is a sin offering. You shall take one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram.You shall slaughter the ram and take its blood and dash it against the altar all around. You shall cut the ram into its pieces and wash its entrails and legs, and put them with its pieces and its head. You shall turn the whole ram into smoke on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD, a pleasing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD.You shall take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram.You shall slaughter the ram and take some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear and on the lobes of his sons’ right ears, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. You shall dash the blood against the altar all around. You shall take some of the blood on the altar and some of the anointing oil and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and their garments with him. He and his garments, and his sons and their garments with him, shall be consecrated. You shall take from the ram the fat, the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys, the fat on them, and the right thigh, for it is a ram of ordination, and one round loaf of bread, one cake made with oil, and one wafer from the basket of unleavened bread that is before the LORD.You shall put all of these on the palms of Aaron and on the palms of his sons, and wave them as a wave offering before the LORD.You shall take them from their hands and turn them into smoke on the altar, on top of the burnt offering, as a pleasing aroma before the LORD. It is an offering by fire to the LORD.You shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s ordination and wave it as a wave offering before the LORD. It shall be your portion. You shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the raised offering, which were waved and raised from the ram of ordination, from what is for Aaron and from what is for his sons.It shall belong to Aaron and his sons as a perpetual due from the Israelites, for it is a raised offering. It shall be a raised offering from the Israelites, taken from their peace offerings, their raised offering to the LORD.The holy garments of Aaron shall belong to his sons after him, so that they may be anointed and ordained in them. The priest from among his sons who succeeds him shall wear them for seven days when he enters the Tent of Meeting to minister in the Holy Place. You shall take the ram of ordination and boil its flesh in a holy place.Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram and the bread in the basket at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. They shall eat the things by which atonement was made to ordain and consecrate them, but no outsider shall eat them, because they are holy.If any of the flesh of ordination or any of the bread remains until morning, you shall burn what remains with fire. It shall not be eaten, because it is holy. You shall do for Aaron and his sons all that I have commanded you. For seven days you shall ordain them. Each day you shall offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement. You shall purify the altar as you make atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it.For seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. The altar shall be most holy; anything that touches the altar shall be holy. This is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs, each a year old, every day continually. You shall offer one lamb in the morning and the second lamb at twilight, and with the first lamb, about two quarts of fine flour mixed with about one quart of oil from beaten olives, and a drink offering of about one quart of wine. You shall offer the second lamb at twilight, with the same grain offering and drink offering as in the morning, as a pleasing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD.It shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting before the LORD, where I will meet with you all to speak to you there. There I will meet with the Israelites, and it shall be made holy by my glory.I will consecrate the Tent of Meeting and the altar. I will also consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests.I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.They shall know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt to dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.”
