The BibliaTodo New Translation (BTNT) is an English translation of the Holy Scriptures prepared by BibliaTodo. Its purpose is to help readers follow events, understand the teaching, and recognize the strength of biblical prayer and poetry.
BibliaTodo translations are made from the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts of Scripture. Our methodology identifies the textual editions we use.
BTNT is drafted in English from the biblical languages, drawing on shared editorial research with the Spanish NTBT.

Contemporary American English that makes events and speakers understandable.

Review attends to Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, their context, and the witnesses that preserve the biblical text.
Editorial direction and review of the BibliaTodo New Translation are led by Carlos Colina, with the support of the collaborating team of BibliaTodo Bible Society.
For the Old Testament, the Masoretic Hebrew and Aramaic tradition is consulted in the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC), together with the linguistic resources of the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible (OSHB). Differences between the written form and the transmitted reading, known as ketiv and qere, are examined in context. Aramaic is consulted in the passages that belong to that language.
For the New Testament, the principal Greek base is the SBL Greek New Testament (SBLGNT), edited by Michael W. Holmes, version 1.2. The interlinear text, morphology, and lexical resources support examination of the text; an isolated gloss does not replace its meaning in context. These editions provide access to texts in their original languages as transmitted through the manuscript tradition.

Faithfulness to the meaning of the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek is the primary criterion. Clear wording must not introduce theological explanations or resolve ambiguities that the text and its context retain. Translation choices must be justified from the biblical languages; explanations, interpretations, and applications are presented separately in study material.
