Isaiah 61

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of our God’s vengeance, to comfort all who mourn, to provide for those who mourn in Zion, to give them a headdress instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, a mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified. They will rebuild the ancient ruins, raise up the desolate places of old, and restore the ruined cities, the places desolate for generations. Foreigners will stand and shepherd your flocks;
strangers will be your farmers and your vinedressers. But you will be called priests of the LORD;
you will be spoken of as ministers of our God.
You will eat the wealth of nations and boast in their glory. Instead of your shame, a double portion;
instead of disgrace, they will rejoice in their portion.
Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land;
everlasting joy will be theirs. “For I, the LORD, love justice;
I hate robbery in a burnt offering.
I will faithfully give them their recompense and make an everlasting covenant with them. Their offspring will be known among the nations, and their descendants among the peoples.
All who see them will recognize that they are offspring whom the LORD has blessed.” I will greatly rejoice in the LORD;
my soul will exult in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and wrapped me in a robe of righteousness, like a bridegroom who puts on a headdress as a priest does, and like a bride who adorns herself with her jewels. For as the earth brings forth its shoots and a garden makes what is sown in it sprout, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.
