The LORD spoke to Moses and said,“Speak to Aaron and his sons, so that they keep themselves apart from the holy things the Israelites consecrate to me and do not profane my holy name. I am the LORD.Tell them, ‘Throughout your generations, any man among your descendants who approaches the holy things the Israelites consecrate to the LORD while his uncleanness is upon him shall be cut off from my presence. I am the LORD.No man among Aaron's descendants who has skin disease or a discharge may eat the holy things until he is clean. Nor may anyone who touches something made unclean by a dead person, or a man who has an emission of semen,or a man who touches a swarming creature that makes him unclean, or a person who makes him unclean through any uncleanness. The person who touches such a thing shall be unclean until evening and must not eat the holy things unless he has bathed his body in water. When the sun sets, he shall be clean; afterward he may eat the holy things, for they are his food.He must not eat an animal that died or was torn apart and so become unclean by it. I am the LORD.They must keep my charge, so that they do not bear sin because of it and die for profaning it. I am the LORD who sanctifies them.No outsider may eat a holy thing. A priest's resident guest or hired worker must not eat a holy thing. But if a priest buys a person with his own money, that person may eat of it. Those born in his household may also eat his food.If a priest's daughter marries an outsider, she must not eat the contribution of holy things. But if a priest's daughter becomes widowed or divorced, has no offspring, and returns to her father's house as in her youth, she may eat her father's food. No outsider may eat of it.If a man eats a holy portion by mistake, he must restore the holy portion to the priest, adding one-fifth to it.They must not profane the holy things of the Israelites, which they contribute to the LORD,and so cause them to bear the guilt of an offense by eating their holy things, for I am the LORD who sanctifies them.’”The LORD spoke to Moses and said,“Speak to Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites, and tell them, ‘Any man from the house of Israel or from the foreigners in Israel who presents his offering, whether for any of their vows or any of their freewill offerings they present to the LORD as a burnt offering, must present a male without blemish from the cattle, sheep, or goats for it to be accepted on your behalf. You must not present anything that has a blemish, for it shall not be accepted on your behalf. If a man presents a peace offering to the LORD from the herd or flock to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering, it must be without blemish to be accepted; it must have no blemish. You must not present to the LORD an animal that is blind, has a broken bone, is mutilated, or has a running sore, itching sores, or scaly skin. You must not put any of these on the altar as an offering by fire to the LORD.You may offer an ox, sheep, or goat with an overlong or stunted limb as a freewill offering, but it shall not be accepted for a vow.You must not present to the LORD an animal whose testicles are bruised, crushed, torn out, or cut off. You must not do this in your land. You must not present any of these as the food of your God even from the hand of a foreigner, for they are damaged and have a blemish. They shall not be accepted on your behalf.’”The LORD spoke to Moses and said,“When a calf, a lamb, or a kid goat is born, it must remain with its mother for seven days. From the eighth day onward it may be accepted as an offering by fire to the LORD.Whether an ox, a sheep, or a goat, you must not slaughter it and its young on the same day. When you sacrifice a thanksgiving offering to the LORD, sacrifice it so that it may be accepted on your behalf. It must be eaten on that day; you must leave none of it until morning. I am the LORD.You must keep my commandments and carry them out. I am the LORD.You must not profane my holy name, and I shall be held holy among the Israelites. I am the LORD who sanctifies you,who brings you out of the land of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD.”
