I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.”Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem.Jerusalem is built as a city firmly joined together. There the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, according to the testimony given to Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.For there stand thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you live at ease.May there be peace within your walls and ease within your palaces.”For the sake of my brothers and companions I will say, “Peace be within you.”For the sake of the house of the LORD our God I will seek your good.
