Psalm 9
BTNT-2026-11-04
I will recount all your wonders. I will rejoice and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, Most High. When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish before you. For you have upheld my right and my cause;
you have sat on the throne, judging righteously. You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked;
you have erased their name forever and ever. The enemy has come to an end, in ruins forever;
you have uprooted their cities, and their very memory has perished. But the LORD is enthroned forever;
he has established his throne for judgment. He will judge the world in righteousness and govern the peoples with equity. The LORD will be a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of distress. Those who know your name trust in you, for you have not forsaken those who seek you, LORD. Sing praise to the LORD, who dwells in Zion;
proclaim his deeds among the peoples. For the one who calls bloodshed to account remembers them;
he does not forget the cry of the afflicted. Be gracious to me, LORD;
see my affliction from those who hate me, you who lift me from the gates of death, so that I may recount all your praises in the gates of daughter Zion and rejoice in your salvation. The nations have sunk into the pit they made;
their foot is caught in the net they hid. The LORD has made himself known;
he has carried out judgment.
The wicked man is trapped by the work of his own hands.
Higgaion. Selah. The wicked will return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God. For the needy will not be forgotten forever, nor will the hope of the poor perish for all time. Rise up, LORD!
Do not let mortals prevail;
let the nations be judged before you. Strike them with fear, LORD;
let the nations know they are only mortal. Selah.
