Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.The LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is this not a burning stick snatched from the fire?”Now Joshua was dressed in filthy garments as he stood before the angel. He said to those standing before him, “Remove his filthy garments.” Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken your guilt away from you, and I will clothe you in fine garments.”Then I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him in garments, while the angel of the LORD stood by.The angel of the LORD solemnly charged Joshua:“This is what the LORD of hosts says: If you walk in my ways and keep my charge, you will govern my house and guard my courts, and I will give you access among these who stand here.Listen now, Joshua the high priest, you and your companions who sit before you, for they are men who serve as a sign. I am about to bring my servant, the Branch. For look at the stone I have set before Joshua: on a single stone are seven eyes. I myself will engrave it,” declares the LORD of hosts, “and I will remove the guilt of that land in one day.On that day,” declares the LORD of hosts, “each of you will invite his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.”
