Psalm 147

BTNT-2026-11-04

Praise the LORD!
For it is good to sing praise to our God, for praise is pleasant and fitting.
The LORD builds up Jerusalem;
he gathers the outcasts of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He counts the number of the stars;
he calls them all by name.
Great is our Lord and abundant in power;
his understanding has no limit.
The LORD upholds the humble;
he brings the wicked down to the ground.
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving;
sing praise to our God with the lyre.
He covers the heavens with clouds, prepares rain for the earth, and makes grass grow on the mountains. He gives food to the animals and to the young ravens that cry. He does not delight in the strength of the horse or take pleasure in a man’s legs. The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love. Praise the LORD, Jerusalem;
praise your God, Zion.
For he has strengthened the bars of your gates and blessed your children within you. He makes peace within your borders and satisfies you with the finest wheat. He sends his command to the earth;
his word runs swiftly.
He gives snow like wool and scatters frost like ashes. He casts down his ice like morsels;
who can stand before his cold?
He sends his word and melts them;
he makes his wind blow, and the waters flow.
He declares his words to Jacob, his statutes and judgments to Israel. He has not dealt this way with any other nation;
they have not known his judgments.
Praise the LORD!
