Psalm 27
BTNT-2026-11-04
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life;
whom shall I dread? When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies, they stumbled and fell. Though an army encamp against me, my heart will not fear;
though war rise against me, even then I will trust. One thing I have asked of the LORD, and this I will seek: to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD and inquire in his temple. For he will hide me in his shelter on the day of trouble;
he will conceal me in the hiding place of his tent and lift me high upon a rock. Now my head will rise above the enemies around me;
in his tent I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy.
I will sing and make music to the LORD. Hear my voice, LORD, when I cry;
be gracious to me and answer me. On your behalf my heart says, “Seek my face.”
Your face, LORD, I will seek. Do not hide your face from me;
do not turn your servant away in anger.
You have been my help;
do not cast me off or forsake me, God of my salvation. Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will take me in. Teach me your way, LORD, and lead me on a level path because of those who watch for my downfall. Do not hand me over to the will of my foes, for false witnesses have risen against me, breathing violence. If I had not believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living... Wait for the LORD;
be strong, and let your heart take courage.
Wait for the LORD!
