Psalm 37

BTNT-2026-11-04

Do not fret over evildoers or envy those who do wrong. For they will soon wither like grass and fade like green vegetation. Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and feed on faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will bring forth your righteousness like the light, your just cause like the noonday. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him.
Do not fret over the man whose way prospers, who carries out wicked schemes.
Let go of anger and abandon wrath;
do not fret—it only leads to evil.
For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD will inherit the land. In a little while the wicked man will be no more;
you will look at his place, and he will not be there.
But the meek will inherit the land and delight in abundant peace. The wicked man plots against the righteous man and gnashes his teeth at him. The Lord laughs at him, for he sees that his day is coming. The wicked draw the sword and bend their bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slaughter those whose way is upright. Their sword will enter their own heart, and their bows will be broken. Better is the little the righteous man has than the abundance of many wicked people. For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD supports the righteous. The LORD knows the days of the blameless, and their inheritance will last forever. They will not be put to shame in times of disaster, and in days of famine they will have enough. But the wicked will perish;
the enemies of the LORD, like the beauty of pastures, will vanish;
like smoke they will vanish.
The wicked man borrows and does not repay, but the righteous man is gracious and gives. For those he blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be cut off. A man’s steps are established by the LORD, and he delights in his way. Though he falls, he will not lie cast down, for the LORD holds his hand. I was young and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous man forsaken or his offspring begging for bread. All day he is gracious and lends, and his offspring are a blessing. Turn from evil and do good, and dwell forever. For the LORD loves justice and will not forsake his faithful ones.
They are guarded forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off.
The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever. The mouth of the righteous man speaks wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice. The law of his God is in his heart;
his steps do not slip.
The wicked man watches the righteous man and seeks to kill him. The LORD will not abandon him to his hand or condemn him when he is judged. Wait for the LORD and keep his way;
he will raise you up to inherit the land.
You will see when the wicked are cut off.
I have seen a wicked, ruthless man spreading like a lush tree in its native soil. But he passed away and was gone;
I sought him, but he could not be found.
Observe the blameless and look at the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace. But transgressors will be destroyed together;
the future of the wicked will be cut off.
The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD;
he is their stronghold in times of distress.
The LORD helps them and delivers them;
he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.
